World of Warcraft: The War Within was first announced during BlizzCon last year and has opened up beta test sign-ups for players of the franchise.
The latest expansion marks the first installment in the highly popular MMORPG's new three-part Worldsoul Saga, which is set to play out across the next few years. In The War Within, players will be taken deep into the heart of Azeroth.

They will have to explore new subterranean kingdoms and engage with ancient cultures, such as the Earthen Dwarves, and the terrifying Nerubians of Azj-Kahet.
Blizzard also announced other features that will be coming to the new expansion, such as smaller experiences for one up to five players which are known as Delves.
Warbands will also be added that will allow players to share the likes of their bank and reputation among their alts. There will be new dynamic flight for mounts, new dungeons and raids, Hero Talents, and much more, according to Eurogamer.
Fans of the franchise who are eager to take a first dive into the new expansion can register via Blizzard's website ahead of the full release later this year.
The company also notes that there will be more invitations that will go out regularly throughout the testing period. This means that this will not be the only chance to make the beta test.

As per Blizzard's announcement post, after players receive their invitations, they will have to make sure their graphic drivers are up to date. Then, they need to run the Battle.net desktop app to see if they need to update anything.
After making sure that Batte.net is installed and updated, players who received invitations can select World of Warcraft and choose The War Within in the Game Version drop-down menu. This is listed under In Development and needs to be installed first before diving into the beta test of the expansion.
Getting Into the Game
When they finish the installation, clicking play will take players to the selection of available Test Servers. Inside these, they can create a new test character or use the character cop to import their existing Dragonflight character. Once done, they have the chance to enter the game and check out all the new content.
Players can also pre-purchase The War Within expansion, which has a few editions that they can choose from, each with their own inclusions. The Base Edition includes the expansion, an enhanced level 70 Character Boost with upgraded gear, reputation progress, and more, said Blizzard News.
The Heroic Edition includes all previous items and adds the Algarian Stormrider mount with Dynamic Flying as well as access to special racecourses and the Stormrider's Attire Transmog set. This also gives players another 250 Trader's Tenders on top of the 500 given in the Base Edition.
The expansion's Epic Edition is notable for one key addition, which is a guaranteed slot for Beta Test and Early Access to the new content. The next two expansions in the saga are known as Midnight and The Last Titan, according to MMORPG.
