New Zones and Increased Level Cap

One of the most notable changes in the Cataclysm Beta is the expansion of playable zones and the level cap. With the cap now raised to 85, adventurers can venture into previously unexplored territories such as Vash'jir, Mount Hyjal, Deepholm, Uldum, and Twilight Highlands. These diverse landscapes promise thrilling quests and encounters as players progress towards the new level pinnacle.

To complement the expanded world, Blizzard has introduced corresponding leveling dungeons, providing players with a variety of paths to reach level 85. Additionally, the introduction of Archaeology as a new profession adds another layer of depth to gameplay, allowing players to unearth ancient artifacts and delve into the mysteries of Azeroth's past.

Ongoing Development and Known Issues

While the Cataclysm Beta offers an exciting glimpse into the future of World of Warcraft, it's important to note that the testing phase is still a work in progress. Some features, such as Reforging, Transmogrification, and updates to the Guild system, are yet to be implemented. Additionally, certain gameplay elements, including the Dungeon Journal, LFD, and Tol Barad, remain unavailable at this stage.

Furthermore, the Beta has encountered several issues that the development team is actively addressing. These include questing bugs, class and combat discrepancies, and miscellaneous graphical glitches.
