Guerrilla Games' Horizon Forbidden West has launched on PC via Steam and brings Aloy's narratively rich adventure to more players.
The open-world action-adventure game pits players against mechanical monstrosities in search of a way to stop the deadly plague from consuming all life on the planet. Equipped with a variety of weapons, players will have to be strategic in fighting against enemies to make sure that they survive long enough to figure out what's behind the growing plague.
Horizon Forbidden West's Best Armors
In this endeavor, armors are a crucial part as they can mitigate substantial damage while also providing a variety of buffs to certain skills. The strongest equipment in the game is called Legendary Armors which have a variety of requirements to unlock.
The Blacktide Quen Commander, which is available in the game's DLC, Burning Shores, is a warrior-focused armor that has a heavy focus on Resonator Strikes. This piece of equipment lets players deal increased damage, have faster buildup, and longer durations for their attacks, according to GameRant.
This armor can be acquired as a pre-order bonus for purchasing the DLC of the base Horizon Forbidden West game. The players who have purchased the extra content can purchase it from the Stitcher in Fleet's End for only one Metal Shard.

The Carka Stalker Elite is a trapper outfit that increases the number of traps players can lay out and also makes it faster to set them up. This Legendary armor also increases the number of smoke bombs that players can carry and can be acquired by exchanging 54 Arena Medals with the Prize Master at the arena in Memorial Grove.
But arguably the strongest yet most difficult armor to acquire is the Oseram Artificer, which provides a variety of bonuses and heft defenses to allow players to survive nearly any strike from the mechanical monsters roaming the world of Horizon Forbidden West.
A Lengthy and Arduous Quest
With how good this armor is, the game's developers made it extremely difficult and arduous to acquire. Players will have to complete a scavenger hunt to round up the necessary pieces to forge the Oseram Artificer, according to GamesRadar.
The first thing that players will have to do is speak to Keruf located to the west of Barren Light to begin the long and extensive quest of getting the best armor in the game. Players will then have to complete all of the Salvage contracts as each one will reward them with a necessary piece of the Oseram Artificer.
After the completion of all of the contracts, return to Keruf for the armor judging competition where he will say that all of the equipment presented to him are worthless. This is when Aloy suggests combining all of the armors to create a unique set, which rewards players with the Oseram Artificer, all for free.
Fans of the game have expressed excitement with the recent release of the game for the PC and currently has a "Very Positive" rating on Steam. It has been found to be the sixth most popular PS Studios launch on PC by numbers alone, according to Insider Gaming.
