Hordes of Hunger Mixes Roguelike With Hack 'n' Slash Mechanics To Bring a Hellish, Mysterious Adventure

Hordes of Hunger is a recently announced game that combines roguelike mechanics with a hack 'n' slash system to bring a title that is described as a "survivorlike" game.

Furthermore, the game allows for the completion of quests and the rescuing of others from the onslaught that will reward resources and uncover the mysterious origins of the evil force. Players can craft their own unique build in the game and can create either a nimble swordfighter or a tanky heavy hammer-wielder.

The game will force players to think on their feet and be strategic with how they fight the continuous waves of monsters. They need to use the environment to their advantage using choke points, high ground, and breakable structures, according to Gematsu.

Players can gain destructive and defensive abilities every time they level up, which will help them become a finely tuned force to be reckoned with. They can use fire, lightning, and divine forces to overcome the monsters.

Hordes of Hunger was initially revealed on Mar. 21, 2024, and is a game that is described as "survivorlike" and mixes hack-and-slash mechanics with conventional roguelike systems used in games such as Hades.
