Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is having its release date bumped forward by a week and the game's Nintendo Switch release is now scheduled for June 14, 2024, instead of June 21, 2024.
The game was first revealed during a Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase that happened last month. It is an updated version of the 2021 title but features new content and many other changes.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Release Date
The announcement said that Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance consists of two complete story paths for players to experience, including a brand new route known as the "Canon of Vengeance." This tells the dramatic tale of revenge by the fallen, which is centered around new characters as well as an enigmatic cohort of demons, known as the Qadistu.
These beings plot their own dark designs apart from the war of those who fight in order to maintain order and those who seek to defy it. The other route is the original story told in Shin Megami Tensei V, which is the "Canon of Creation." This tells the story of the eternal conflict between angels and demons that the player fights for the fate of the world, according to Nintendo Everything.
The game picks up when a grisly murder scene in modern-day Tokyo blocks the protagonist as he is on his way home. The unplanned detour leaves him buried and unconscious and later awakens in new Tokyo. This is a wasteland that has been ravaged by the apocalypse now called Da'at.

Before bloodthirsty demons claim the protagonist's life, a savior arrives and the two of them work together to become a mighty being that is neither human nor demon, but a Nahobino. With the player's newfound power, they venture through Da'at searching for answers.
Some of the key features of Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance include its stunning visuals for modern consoles, its dark lore, an unnerving atmosphere, and beautiful and monstrous demons. The latest release has been expanded with new areas, monsters, and music.
New Story, Monsters, and Gameplay Mechanics
Atlus' decision to move up the release date of Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance comes as the original schedule was in line to release with the Elden Ring DLC, known as the Shadow of the Erdtree, which will go live on June 20, 2024, said GamesRadar+.
This was an issue when Horizon Forbidden West was released a week earlier than Elden Ring in 2021. Many fans said that the Guerrilla-made sequel did not get as much attention as it should have because the focus was more on the FromSoftware RPG.
On top of the new story and monsters, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance will feature an improved battle system and will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
Some of the new skills that have been added to the latest release revolve around using demonic abilities and some have been added with a twist. They are directly exclusive to certain demons that are found within the game. This adds a new gameplay style for players to try out and master, according to the GameCrater.
