Keen Games teased Enshrouded's 2024 roadmap which includes a variety of features that players have been asking for.
The development team released the image of the roadmap along with an announcement and the specific timing for future updates was not included. However, the developer said that an update will be revealed sometime in March 2024.
Enshrouded 2024 Roadmap
Keen Games also noted in the Enshrouded Steam News post that the roadmap will change as the company develops new features for the survival game. Additionally, the Steam News post shared that the game's feature suggestions from players can be shared and voted on on Enshrouded's Feature Upvote page.
The game's 2024 roadmap showed a variety of new features and content, including Hollow Halls Dungeons, replayable World Quests, the Vanity System, animal farming, new enemies, bosses, and building materials, among others.
On top of adding some new features and content, the roadmap showed some general improvements and changes that the developer has in store for Enshrouded. These include location improvements, multiple NPC instances, multiplayer pings, named tombstones, and nameable bases, among others, according to IGN.
On the technical side, the developer's plans include system and other improvements, such as improved loot UI, Steam Deck support, performance improvements, and various fixes and polishing.

There are other major features that will come to Enshrouded in the coming months, including sharing and visiting of bases, instanced dungeons, creation and sharing of gameplay experiences, more biomes, world events, and water!
Despite Keen Games' roadmap announcement, the developer said that some of the changes might be "more difficult than we can anticipate" and added that the studio wanted to keep players interested without overpromising on their capacity to deliver.
A Variety of New Features
The emphasis on water being added is important because despite the game being filled with mountains, hills, and valleys, there are no rivers, lakes, or ponds. On top of those, the weather is also on the list of planned features.
While NPCs can sometimes feel a little bit too bland, since they just stand in place at the player's base, they will soon be added to towns. Furthermore, the townsfolk will also be given pets, said PCGamer.
Regarding enemies, such as bad guys, Keen Games is adding a patrol feature so that they do not just stay in towns and camps. Despite all of the planned features, the developer said that there were no locked-in dates for any of the changes and that nothing was guaranteed.
Talking about one of the planned features, the Hollow Halls Dungeons, they are set to release in the near future. While Keen Games has not said anything about the specifics of these halls, the developer said in a press release that "larger dungeons" will come soon.
Furthermore, some have assumed that new enemies and bosses that they will add to the world of Enshrouded will most likely make their first appearance in new or expanded dungeons. This could drastically increase the level of threat but also give players a better option of leveling up quickly if they meet the challenges, according to Screen Rant.
