Upgraded Ricochet Features Combat Cheaters

Call of Duty's official updates account recently shared a comprehensive list of improvements introduced to the Ricochet anti-cheat system. Among the key enhancements are strengthened protections and reduced response times for the kernel-level driver on PC, speed optimizations for detections in Ranked Play modes, and updates for Ricochet's third-party hardware device detection. These changes collectively fortify the game's defenses against a variety of cheating tactics.

Boom Feature Targets Flying Cars

A notable addition to the anti-cheat arsenal is the introduction of the "Boom" feature, designed to address the persistent issue of flying cars in Warzone. Activision acknowledges that this exploit has plagued the game in the past, and with Boom, vehicles that defy gravity will now meet a fiery demise. This strategic measure not only levels the playing field but also serves as a deterrent for potential cheaters.

Furthermore, Activision reported a substantial impact from the anti-cheat update, with a ban wave hitting over 26,000 Call of Duty accounts. This mass banning is a clear signal of the publisher's commitment to maintaining a fair and competitive environment for all players.

In addition to the anti-cheat measures, the Season 2 Reloaded update introduces a new downloadable content (DLC) weapon aimed at providing players with an effective means of countering riot shield users.
