DDoS Assault Confirmed, Blizzard Acknowledges Disruptions
Overwatch 2 players have been grappling with disruptive gameplay issues, reporting extreme lag, continuous disconnections, and unplayable conditions. Blizzard has confirmed the DDoS attack, acknowledging the problem through an official statement on X: "We are currently experiencing a DDoS attack, which may result in high latency and disconnections for some players. We are actively working to mitigate this issue."
Player Bans Spark Outrage
As the DDoS attack unfolded, players took their frustration to platforms like Reddit, expressing their discontent. Some players faced unexpected bans due to disconnections during the ongoing onslaught. A Reddit user vented, "3 games in a row with multiple DCs on both sides.
