John Cena, in collaboration with director James Gunn, brings the uproarious superhero Peacemaker to Mortal Kombat 1 on Feb. 28. The character's debut gameplay trailer showcases the same irreverent humor and quirky traits that made his TV series a hit. Alongside Peacemaker, fans can also expect the addition of Eagly and the new Kameo Fighter Janet Cage to spice up the fighting experience.

Peacemaker's Trailer
The unveiling of Peacemaker in Mortal Kombat 1 comes with a refreshing wave of lunkheaded banter, a feature the game has been lacking in its pre-fight dialogues. The character, known for his foul-mouthed quips, doesn't disappoint, describing Mileena as the "first bangable monster chick" and announcing his moves aloud, adding an extra layer of hilarity to the gameplay.
Notably, he even fires shotgun shells that create peace sign-shaped exit wounds in his opponents, embracing the fantastically dumb side of Mortal Kombat 1.
Season Four and Crossplay
Peacemaker's introduction aligns with Mortal Kombat 1's fourth season in Invasions mode. Notably, NetherRealm Studios will roll out crossplay support, allowing players on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X to engage in cross-platform battles. Unfortunately, Nintendo Switch users won't be part of this crossplay experience.
Janet Cage, a new Kameo Fighter, is set to join Mortal Kombat 1 in March. Peacemaker players can access the character early on Feb. 28 via the $39.99 Kombat Pack, with a wider release on March 6. The Premium Edition, priced at $109.99, includes the Kombat Pack and additional fighters - Homelander, Ermac, and Takeda.
