When Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel was announced this week, it promised zero gravity vault hunting on the moon. Well, that's definitely what you're going to get, based off of the gameplay video over at Connected Digital World.
In a fantastic HD look at the upcoming game, we get to see the cryo freezing gun, what it's like to jump around at zero gravity, and a sweet laser shield. And it all looks awesome.
First off, the zero gravity. Our main character made all kinds of fantastic jumps, especially a long one early on in the demo over a lava-filled crevice. You can throw your grenades and molotov cocktails in a straight line now, and when you blow up an enemy they just shoot straight up in the air into the dark abyss.
The cryo gun looks like a blast. If you land enough shots on an opponent they'll freeze solid, and the you can either keep shooting or run up and melee them to break them into a bunch of pieces. The zero gravity factors in here as well -- broken enemies explode into shards and float off into the night.
Lastly, there's this awesome looking laser shield. It can deflect your enemies' shots back at them or be used as a projectile, and both applications looked like they can cause quite a bit of damage. The best part is, you can use the shield at the same time as a primary weapon.
Oh, and there's looting, of course.
But don't take my word for how awesome this all looks, check out the video below!
