Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the highly anticipated action game developed by Rocksteady Studios, is not supposed to be out until February 2. However, players who have purchased the Deluxe Edition can try the title a few days before everyone else thanks to Early Access. Unfortunately, the company had to pull it out because of a major bug.

What Happened?

Just a couple of hours after Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was available to those who paid $100 for the Deluxe Edition, Rocksteady Studios pulled the game out because of a major bug. The issue is so severe that anyone will be shaking their head as to why the bug was able to slip through in the first place.

Anyway, this bug caused a massive problem where players who were able to log in had full story completion. In other words, the game treats these people as if they have already completed the entire campaign.

This is a major issue because players could just replay any point of the game to see how it unfolds without breaking a sweat, which is obviously not what the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League development team had intended.

As a result, Rocksteady Studios took the game out and shut the servers down until further notice. Here's the thing: some players paid $100 to get Early Access, so that three-day window is already a failure, especially for those who planned to spend the night playing Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

Testing a Fix

After the Early Access fiasco, Rocksteady Studios tweeted that it had already identified what was causing the problem and is now testing a fix. "We hope to implement it and have the game back online as soon as possible," said the company.

Disgruntled players replied to the tweet and left some brutal comments. X/Twitter user ghost_motley said that the game has already been unplayable for more than nine hours.

Another user replied that if this does not force Rocksteady to implement an offline mode, then things will not bode well for the game. For those who do not know, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League follows the trend of recent games where players are forced to go online if they want to play.

At the time of writing, the game is still unplayable and the company has yet to issue a fix. This is definitely one of the worst Early Access launches of 2024, especially considering how the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League had been delayed numerous times.
