However, it soon becomes a tale of survival as you have to find a way to take care of both yourself and your dogs. Decision-making plays a crucial role in this game.

Fall in Love with the Dogs
The Red Lantern actually lets you pick the four dogs that will make up your team. Each dog has its own unique personality and story, which makes the game more interesting.
As previously mentioned, you will have to take care of the dogs in order for them to survive. That means you have to make sure that they have ample time for rest. You also have to be the one to find food for them.

The Red Lantern has more than 400 user reviews on Steam as of press time. These reviews are generally described as "Very Positive" by the platform.
"This is an adorable game with stunning art direction," user Dovahsdottir_864 says in a Steam review. "If you like the concept and don't mind the choose-your-own-adventure-book style gameplay, it is fun for about 5 to 10 hours depending on how much of a completionist you are."
"I got this game on sale and I am very much satisfied," user cosmicspider said in a separate review. "While the story/gameplay isn't as complex or plot-full as I expected, I still loved it enough to play it for nine beautiful, tricky, wintery, heartwarming hours."
