Nintendo launched Patch 6.1.0 for its third-person ink shooter Splatoon 3, which is now available for download on the Switch. This update buffed a lot of weapons in the game, most notably the Ink Storm and Squeezer.
Get Ready for the Storm
The Ink Storm is a special weapon in Splatoon 3 that creates a storm cloud that deals damage to enemies within its area of effect. That said, this weapon got a buff in Patch 6.1.0 where players that take damage while within their allies' Ink Storm now recover much more quickly than before. This is true even if they are not submerged in ink. As a result of this change, players might use the Ink Storm more religiously now.
In addition, the Splat Brella now uses 13% less ink when firing a shot. This is a great adjustment for players who often find themselves wasting more ink than they should.
For the N-ZAP '85 and N-ZAP '89, these main weapons have their damage increased slightly from 28 to 30.

Multiplayer Fixes
Nintendo resolved a number of issues concerning the Bluefin Depot as well. For instance, players can no longer reach much higher terrain than intended by using Triple Splashdown in certain areas.
In Rainmaker Mode, the issue where players could not swim in certain areas in Bluefin Depot even if those areas appeared to be inked has now been fixed as well.
