The open-world action survival game Palworld has sold more than 4 million copies since it was released. However, due to the game's massive popularity, it suffers from a myriad of server issues, prompting developer Pocketpair to issue a statement regarding the matter.

Server Issues Aplenty

Pocketpair announced in a recent tweet that co-op play in Palworld may suffer a bit due to the number of people playing the game at the same time. "As the number of concurrent players across all platforms exceeded 1.3 million, the Epic Online Service is currently experiencing outages due to an unusually high load worldwide," the developer said.

The company added that those who want to play the game can still do so, but only on single player at the moment.

At the time of writing, the open-world action survival game has reached an all-time peak of 1,284,221 players, with over 700,000 playing the game in the last 24 hours. This goes to show that Pocketpair has something magical in its hands, so it is best that the company deals with server issues immediately to continue its stride.

Some players have praised the developer for its good communication. It is indeed admirable for a company to admit faults rather than trying to sweep any problems under the rug.

Anyway, Palworld is so popular right now that X/Twitter user BermanZachary said that it is "literally breaking the internet."

What is It?

For those who have not heard of it yet, Palworld is an open-world action survival game developed by a Japanese development studio called Pocketpair. This game has an interesting mechanic where players can capture and tame creatures to work for them. These creatures, as one can tell, are called "Pals."

Unlike dedicated creature-capture games like Pokémon or Temtem, Palworld is different in that the Pals are just complementary pieces to the game. They are only there to help players do their bidding and are not really the focal point here.

Still, players can utilize them as part of the workforce, gaining resources, and bolstering the players' settlements as they progress through the game.

It is available on Xbox One/Xbox Series X/S for $29.99 and on PC via Steam for $26.99. Those who do not want to purchase the game outright but have an Xbox Game Pass subscription can try it out for free!
