Released on September 5, 2023, Chants of Sennaar is developed by Rundisc and published by Focus Entertainment. As previously stated, the game draws heavy inspiration from the Tower of Babel myth. The premise of the game, in fact, is that a traveler will come to once again unite the people of the tower despite their different languages.
And who may that traveler be? Well, that's you!
With that being said, this game is all about deciphering languages.

Solving the Puzzles to Unravel the Mysteries
Needless to say, there are a lot of mysteries going around you. In order to figure it all, you'll have to rely on your language-deciphering skills to solve puzzles. But that's not all you have to expect when you play Chants of Sennaar.
There are the characters known as the Guardians that you have to deal with and defeat. Your stealth skills will come in handy here, especially if you're aiming to enter forbidden zones.

Chants of Sennaar has more than 9,300 user reviews on Steam as of press time. These reviews are generally described as "Overwhelmingly Positive" by Steam.
"I love games that involve figuring out a language, and I love puzzle games, and this fuses the two beautifully," user river says in a Steam review. "The languages are tightly integrated into the mechanics of the game, and with multiple languages, you're not just translating into English, you're learning about the cultures and connecting different concepts that hold a similar place for the different people."
"What a perfect game. If you like puzzlers, and especially if you like language, this is for you," user ogmachan says in a separate review. "Difficulty is very well calibrated, the translation element is fun and makes you feel smart, and the different worlds/levels offer a nice amount of variety so you don't get bored."
