Mohawk Games, developer of the 4X grand strategy game Old World, has released a new DLC for the game called "Wonders & Dynasties."
Tons of New Content
The Wonders & Dynasties DLC for Old World has a lot to offer. First of all, it introduced 30 brand new leaders that players can choose when starting a new game. One of those leaders is the infamous Julius Caesar, who possesses the ability to provide additional XP to units every time an enemy is destroyed. Because of this, Caesar is amazing for those who want to expand quickly.
Another popular figure that was added via the DLC is the Babylonian King, Nebuchadnezzar I. Every time he captures a camp, he gains additional units that he can command to do his bidding.
Aside from the new leaders, the Wonders & Dynasties DLC brought eight new Wonders of the World as well. Players who establish the Jebel Barkal, for example, will gain an additional temple to their cities upon completion.
The Al Khazneh is another notable Wonder of the World, primarily because it helps players generate extra money from all connected cities. It also spawns more caravans that players can utilize to their advantage.
Here are the other highlights of the Wonders & Dynasties DLC:
-
100+ new dynasty-related events including assassination attempts, state dinners, and interactions between historical characters across dynasties, cultures, and nations. Re-enact the turbulent relationship between Nero and Agrippina, stave off the murder of Stateira, or take on the ambition of Mursili II's to prove yourself to your doubters.
-
21 additional character traits centering on the added dynasties. Each is unique to their specific character and brings forth challenges and opportunities at court or in the field.
-
120 extra historical characters to interact
Those who are interested in getting a copy of the Wonders & Dynasties DLC for Old World can get it on Steam for $17.99.
Free Update
Players who do not want to spend money to buy the new DLC are not left out. Mohawk Games also launched a new update that players can enjoy for free. This patch introduced some extra options that allow players to enable random map scripts.
In addition, a plethora of bug fixes have been implemented to resolve certain issues. For instance, the issue with inconsistent hex grid outlines that may arise when transitioning between passable and impassable terrain has now been addressed.
Other noteworthy bug fixes are:
-
Fixed some legacy issues with harvesting and forts
-
Fixed dynasty selection being unavailable on Choose Leader screen after using a custom archetype
-
Fixed MP teammate portraits not displaying

Fixed improvement turns remaining not updating when military units go on cooldown (affects Kush when building Forts)
