Forza Motorsport is in a rough spot right now as the racing game developed by Turn 10 Studios is experiencing a myriad of issues. Fortunately, the company released a statement talking about the things the developers will tackle this year, which include progression, Force Race Regulations (FRR), and AI.
Something Has to Change
The company is aware that while there are players who are having a good time playing Forza Motorsport, the racing game does need more polish. One of the areas that needs to be improved is car progression.
As it stands, players do not have a good experience when it comes to making suitable upgrades to their cars. Turn 10 Studios is aware of this, but said that it will take some time to evaluate what can be done, and make the necessary changes under the hood.
On the topic of FRR, players have been complaining about the system being "inconsistent and unfair" in its judgments. As a result, the company will be looking into this by working with pro players to collect some much-needed data, so that they know how to tweak the system in the best way possible.
For those who do not know, Force Race Regulations is a system in Forza Motorsport that essentially penalizes players based on infractions that happen on the race track.
How about the game's AI? Turn 10 acknowledges that the AI has been exhibiting erratic behavior, such as braking too hard on mild corners and not accelerating as it should when going out of the exits. To ensure that the game remains competitive, whether players enjoy it with their friends or battle against AI racers, the company will implement changes to address these issues and more in 2024. As to what these tweaks are, the company did not share any specifics.

How About Performance Issues?
While it is good that Turn 10 Studios has acknowledged the problems with the game's progression and AI, it seems that they are not the only ones that need to be addressed.
According to some Forza Motorsport players, the game is plagued with a plethora of performance and stability issues as well.
Redditor juiceboxcitay said that their friend encountered a technical issue that forced them to reboot the game to resolve it, albeit temporarily.
Another player has a different problem in that they are unable to save their progress consistently.
