Update 13.0 for World of Warships is slated for release very soon. One of the highlights of this content patch is that it brings three new U.S. aircraft carriers to Early Access.

Meet the Aircraft Carriers

Three formidable American aircraft carriers will soon be available in World of Warships Early Access. These are the Tier VI Independence, Tier VIII Yorktown, and the Tier X Essex.

Unlike the other aircraft carriers in the game, the above-mentioned ships only carry a single standard squadron - the Torpedo Bombers. However, they are not going to be alone because they are supported by two tactical squadrons, namely the Attack Aircraft and Dive Bombers. The former destroys enemies by unleashing high-explosive rockets, while the latter is capable of launching a cluster of bombs in targeted locations on the map. What's more, players can deploy these tactical squadrons before they launch their Torpedo Bombers.

In addition, the tactical squadrons that Yorktown and Essex have are equipped with the Smoke Curtain Generator. This consumable allows the planes to create a thick cloud of smoke, which may confuse enemy countermeasures.

When the new line of aircraft carriers is available in Early Access, players will earn American Tokens from random bundles or by completing extra levels in the U.S. Aircraft Carriers event pass. This currency can be used to purchase a lot of cool stuff, including permanent camos for Yorktown and Essex, "Wings of Freedom" premium containers, and the Tier X Essex itself, among others.

Players who open random bundles will also have a chance of obtaining the premier American Battleship, Tier X Rhode Island.

Know Thy Enemy

Aside from the U.S. aircraft carriers, Update 13.0 will introduce a new feature that allows players to see various ship parameters, such as hit points, armaments, and consumables. A tooltip will be displayed by pressing and holding the "Tab" key and hovering the mouse pointer over the other ships.

Now, it is worth noting that this feature only displays information about the best possible parameters for opposing ships, meaning, they may or may not have the things that are shown on the tooltip. Despite the limitation, this feature should provide players with enough information about their enemies to prepare them for their eventual encounter.

Update 13.0 for World of Warships is expected to drop later at 8 p.m. EST.
