Vector3 Studio has recently revealed a bunch of new content that is coming to Sunkenland in the near future.

Sunkenland is a survival and exploration game set in a post-apocalyptic world where water has pretty much covered the vast majority of Earth. The objective is to search for some much-needed resources in the open world even if it means to dive underwater just to get some.

Base building is also an integral part of the game. Make sure to put up fortifications that can withstand attacks from pirates and mutants alike.

Upcoming Content

There are a plethora of things that you can look forward to in Sunkenland. One of the most notable is the implementation of gun assembly in the game. Once the update arrives sometime in January, you will be able to disassemble guns for parts, such as barrels, magazines, and stocks. You can use these parts to assemble a new firearm with better features than the original.

Developer Vector3 Studio wants to emphasize the exploration aspect of the game as well. The underwater biomes will be updated to include a new volcano region, where you can obtain Sulfur and other valuable materials. It still remains to be seen what Sulfur is going to be used for, but it is probably for something very important. The company also promises new lore and puzzles that you will have to solve in order to progress through the game.

Aside from that, new items will be introduced to help you last underwater for longer periods of time. These include large scuba air tanks, batteries, and portable repair tools, among many others.

When you start a new game, you will be given ample time to look for resources and build a settlement. That said, the company is set to add new building materials to help you fortify your structures, such as diagonal walls and roofs.

If you want to create your own multiplayer lobby and host it on your server, you can do that with the addition of Dedicated Servers later down the line. Dedicated servers give you the power to tweak some in-game parameters to your liking. Moreover, you can send invites if you want others to join in on the fun.

Various Adjustments

The company will also do some fine-tuning with the aim of making the overall gameplay experience a lot smoother and more enjoyable.

For one, new missions will be added, specifically those that focus on combat for some adrenaline-pumping action.

Furthermore, Vector3 Studio is looking to balance the in-game economy by making suitable adjustments to all of the items in the game.

The weapons in Sunkenland will receive some adjustments, particularly to how much damage they deal. Besides that, enemies will also get a balance pass so that they provide some challenge without being too overpowered.

Now, the company said that these features and adjustments will be put up for testing in the game's public test build soon. If things go smoothly with no major setbacks, the new content is going to be available sometime this month.

Sunkenland is available on PC.
