December is a month of giving and Black Desert Online developers think so too. That is why they have initiated a limited-time event where players can send precious gifts to their friends in-game.
Season of Giving
Black Desert Online players who are at least level 60 can purchase items from the Pearl Shop and send them as gifts to their friends from now until January 17 of next year. Players can send some nifty things, including a permanent "Horse Calling" Horn, some pets, and even costumes if they want to.
Now, there are some important things to keep in mind about this event. First, players can send items from the Pearl Shop to their friends by using the new "Gifting" option. Second, gifted items cannot be restored or refunded, so those who are thinking of sending gifts must make sure that their decision is final.
Third, players who try to abuse the gifting feature may receive penalties. This affects both the giver and the receiver. Lastly, players who have received gifts from those whom they do not know can contact Black Desert Online's customer support team and report the matter. Reporting is highly encouraged, especially if the giftees suspect that they are being used as part of an exploit.

Login Rewards
To continue the Holiday festivities, players can get rewards just by logging into Black Desert Online every day, starting from December 28 to January 31.
Some of the rewards that players can obtain during the event include Energy Gourd Bottles, Advice of Valks, Valk's Cry, and Radiant Shakatu's Seals, among many others.
The Radiant Shakatu's Seals can be traded for Shakatu's Shiny Box (Combat), Shakatu's Shiny Box (Life), or Shakatu's Luxury Box.
Scholar Changes
The developers have also released a new update for the game that implemented a number of changes to the Scholar class.
Hammer Strike has been nerfed in that it no longer recovers the Scholar's MP per hit when the skill is on cooldown. This is compensated by the slight reduction in Hammer Strike's cooldown, from 7/6/5 seconds down to 5/5/4 seconds (level I to III).
Flow: Golden Vines has been nerfed as well. This now has a cooldown of 7/7/7/6/6 seconds (from level I to V). Furthermore, the defense point (DP) reduction per hit is now nullified during cooldown.
