Amazon Game Studios is set to launch the new season for New World called "Eternal Frost" tomorrow, December 13. When the new season goes live, players can embark on a new expedition where they explore a cavernous frozen complex in pursuit of the Varangian Knight, Ser Loth.
New Expedition
Ser Loth will not make it easy for brave adventurers, though, as he has blocked the path that leads to the Empyrean Forge. The Varangian Knight goes beyond the Empyrean Forge and into the depths of the antediluvian complex in order to harness primordial magicks, which Ser Loth will use to destroy all of Aeternum. Although Shailyn knows another way to the forge, the path is fraught with difficult challenges.
The Glacial Tarn is the newest expedition in New World. This is a level 65 expedition set in the Great Cleave, where players will have to face new threats, including the ice-enchanted ancients in the Glacial Tarn, and the Varangian Horde that awaits those who are brave enough to foil Ser Loth's plans.
Together with the Silver Crows and the fire mage "Daichi," players will have to use the power of fire to plow through ice.
To help brave adventurers get a powerful team that can tackle this new expedition, Amazon Game Studios will implement an improved Group Finder. With this feature, players will be able to invite others from any server, so long as they are within the same region. For example, players who are on "Valhalla" can group up with those who are on "Orion."

Holiday Event
To celebrate the Holidays, the company is bringing back the annual "Winter Convergence Festival" with new and exciting rewards. For one, Gift Piles and Gift Sacks now provide more stuff than before.
In addition, the Winter Warrior and his minions are back with a vengeance. Players must form a big group in order to slay this open-world boss. The Winter Warrior can be found roaming various areas in New World, such as Great Cleave, Brightwood, Edengrove, Ebonscale Reach, and Brimstone Sands. Players who can defeat him successfully will get limited-time rewards. On top of that, the Winter Warrior now drops 15 Dark Matter, which is a resource that is used for upgrading artifacts, about three times a day!
The Winter Convergence Festival will run from December 12 to January 9, 2024.
