Hearthstone: Blizzard Nerfs ‘Azerite Snake' Again Because the Previous One Was Not Enough

It looks like the previous balancing adjustment made to "Azerite Snake" was not enough, so Blizzard has nerfed the card again in the recently released Update 28.0.3 for the strategy card game Hearthstone.

The Nerf

The Azerite Snake is a Legendary Minion Card in Hearthstone with a special ability that allows it to steal health from the opposing player's hero. Previously, the amount of HP it could steal from the enemy was 10, which meant that The Azerite Snake only had to be played three times in order to secure the victory. Blizzard had nerfed this minion card before by increasing its mana cost to six. However, the said card has been nerfed again in Update 28.0.3!

Instead of 10 HP, the Azerite Snake can only steal 7 HP from now on unless Blizzard somehow feels the need to nerf this card in the future. As a result of this adjustment, players will have to activate this card about five times to win. If there is any consolation, the card's mana cost has been reverted to what it was back then.

According to the Hearthstone dev team, this change was made to make the Azerite Snake on par with other Legendary Excavate Treasures, especially in terms of mana cost.

Other Changes

The Azerite Snake is not the only card that received changes in this patch. "Order in the Court" is a card that is commonly used in Paladin decks as a way to get the pieces necessary to initiate devastating combos much easier. To make things a bit harder for these players, Order in the Court retains most of its functionality except that players no longer draw a card after reordering their decks.

In terms of buffs, Defense Attorney Nathanos gains a new functionality that allows the card to gain the Deathrattle ability of minion cards that died in a match. The dev team said that the buff makes Defense Attorney Nathanos work favorably well with other cards, such as Twisted Frostwing, Spurfang, and Bovine Skeleton, among others.
