SCS Software, the developer of American Truck Simulator, has announced a new event to celebrate the game's upcoming expansion, the "Kansas" DLC.
Visit the 'Sunflower State'
To celebrate the release of the Kansas DLC on November 30, the folks at SCS Software are inviting players to participate in the "Cruising Kansas" World of Trucks event. Players have a personal goal, as well as a community goal to achieve, which they can accomplish once the DLC drops later this week.
For the personal goal, players will have to take their trucks and complete deliveries to or from 14 different cities in Kansas. These jobs must be at least 100 miles each to be counted towards their goal.
Players can take a look at their Log Books to find if their recent deliveries have met the event requirements. It goes without saying that those who will participate in the "Cruising Kansas" event must have their American Truck Simulator accounts connected to World of Trucks.
To do that, register for an account on the WoT website and then head to "My Page." Under the "My Rides" section, a message will prompt players to connect their American Truck Simulator accounts by clicking on the link provided. Just follow the subsequent prompts to connect the in-game profile to the WoT account.
Anyway, for the community goal, American Truck Simulator players must drive a total of 125,000,000 miles while delivering cargo to or from any city in Kansas using External Contracts or the External Market.

So, what do players get from completing these goals? Players who are able to achieve their personal goals can get a Sunflower-themed truck paint job, which will be available on their Steam Inventory page.
If the game's community can drive a total of 125,000,000 before the event ends, all players will receive an Amber Sunflower Hanging Ornament.
The Cruising Kansas event concludes on January 28, 2024.
Upcoming Expansion
The Kansas DLC gives American Truck Simulator players the chance to visit the beautiful "Sunflower State." It is called such because this state is littered with beautiful sunflowers. Players will come across native grasslands, calming streams, and the beautiful sunshine provided by the abundant blue skies.
Because of what this state has to offer, Kansas has managed to attract large businesses, which provides players with plenty of jobs delivering precious cargo to and from the state.
While the price of the DLC has not been disclosed yet, it could be sold for anywhere between $12 to $20, just like the game's previous DLCs. For instance, the Oklahoma DLC is currently priced at an affordable $11.99.
For those who still thinking of buying the base game, be sure to look at these recommended system requirements:
-
OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 64-bit
-
Processor: Intel Core i5-9600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or similar
-
Memory: 12 GB RAM
-
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 590 (2GB VRAM)
-
Storage: 25 GB available space
American Truck Simulator Kansas DLC arrives on November 30.
