Welcome the New Groups
Hell Let Loose players can now choose two new sub-factions in the game. The first is The British Eighth Army, which is a formation composed of various units from the United Kingdom, Australia, British India, Canada, Greece, and the Free French Forces. This formation was made to fight in the North African and Italian Campaigns during World War II.
The second sub-faction is the German Afrika Korps. This group was the German expeditionary force sent to fight in the North African campaign of World War II.
These new sub-factions in Hell Let Loose are wearing their appropriate uniforms similar to the ones they wore in real life.
Skirmish at Night
Patch 14.5 has updated two existing maps so that players can engage in a firefight in dimly lit environments. These maps are El Alamein and Driel. It would be interesting to see how players utilize these dusk lighting conditions to their advantage. Do they pick apart enemies from afar or get closer for some intense mid-range action?
To Improve Historical Accuracy
Team 17 Digital wants the game to be as historically accurate as possible. As such, the company has made certain changes in Patch 14.5. For instance, the Panther Tank, which used to be available in the recent Public Testing Environment (PTE), is no longer playable in the El Alamein map due to historical inaccuracy. Additionally, the texture of the German Afrika Korps' Luftwaffe belt buckle has been changed to make it look similar to what the Germans were wearing back in World War II.

Gameplay Improvements
Some technical improvements have been implemented as well. Players who are using ultrawide monitors to play Hell Let Loose will be happy to know that the FOV setting has been expanded. Previously, the FOV slider was only limited from 90 to 120. Now, the minimum value can be set to as low as 60. The game will still default to 90, so players still have to change the FOV slider manually if they want to go lower than that.
