Studio Wildcard, developer of Ark: Survival Ascended, has finally released the Xbox version of the game just recently. However, PS5 players will have to wait longer as the company has yet to resolve a minor issue.
After being delayed for a few times in the last month, the faithful remaster of Ark: Survival Evolved has finally arrived to all Xbox console owners. Studio Wildcard announced in a recent statement that those who will play the game on the said console can enjoy bonus rates for a "period of time." It is unclear when the bonus rates will be lifted, but players must take advantage of it so that they can get to the better parts of the game sooner.
Not Primed for PS5
While Xbox players can now enjoy this action-adventure survival game to their hearts' content, Studio Wildcard has some bad news for PlayStation 5 users. The company has recently encountered some issues that would require additional time to address. Because of this, the PS5 launch date for Ark: Survival Evolved has been moved to early December.
Studio Wildcard is committed to bringing the best possible experience to all players, especially those who would like to play with others on different platforms. The company concludes its announcement by promising to keep the community informed of any developments regarding the game's eventual release on the PS5.

Community Disappointment
Fans have voiced their frustrations on Twitter about the news that the PS5 port of the game has been delayed yet again. User @Cootikus said that the company should think about releasing the game even if there is no cross-platform support. Studio Wildcard can just add the feature at a later date, especially considering that Ark: Survival Ascended has been available on PC for over a month now.
Another user replied with a different take, stating that it's not the cross-platform support that prompted the company to delay the PS5 launch of the game, but rather, the custom mods are to be blamed. They likened this to the experience they've had with another game, Fallout 4, where modding on PlayStation consoles was very limited due to Sony's tight restrictions.
About the Game
Ark: Survival Ascended is a beautiful remaster of the original game, Ark: Survival Evolved. The game has been remastered using Unreal Engine 5 and promises a slew of improvements over the original, including a better mini-map, all-new structures that players can build, a new third-person camera mode that lets survivors get a greater look at the surroundings, a new pinging feature for multiplayer, and so much more.
Another standout feature of Ark: Survival Ascended is that it has support for custom mods. This enables the talented community to develop content and features that make the experience of playing the game worthwhile. For instance, players can install a mod that lets them add the fearsome Ceratosaurus to the game.
This action-adventure survival title also has cross-platform and cross-progression support, though these features have not been implemented yet.
