Obsidian Entertainment's bug-sized survival adventure, Grounded, just got a whole lot bigger with the release of the highly anticipated 1.3 Make It or Break It Update.
It is a really massive update, and we will do our best to cover it all in this report.
This latest content drop introduces a game-changing feature: Playgrounds. Windows Central tells us that in a way similar to Forza Horizon 5's EventLab and Halo Infinite's Forge, Playgrounds empowers players to unleash their creativity and build anything imaginable in the backyard.
The Grassbox Unleashed
Players now have the power to shape their Grounded experience with the addition of The Grassbox, a blank canvas that provides a limitless space for constructing player-created Playgrounds.
The possibilities are endless as you mold the backyard to your whims - but first consider these two options: Design Mode and Play Mode. Whether you are crafting elaborate structures, challenging obstacle courses, or simply recreating the backyard in your vision, The Grassbox is your playground - literally. You can share it with others, too!

It is a welcome addition for both seasoned survivors and newcomers alike. The update also brings two new maps for your Playground missions, providing more diverse settings to let your creativity run wild.
Vanity, Overhauled BURG.L Quests
Grounded 1.3 does not stop at Playgrounds; it is a comprehensive update that caters to all facets of the game. Players can now customize their bases with an abundance of new vanity items and decorations. Also, take note of some changes with Consumables.
BURG.L quests have undergone a complete overhaul, introducing over 100 new quests that inject fresh diversity and longevity into the quest-based gameplay.
Gizmos, Tools, and More
Playgrounds is not just about building; it is about transforming the backyard into your personal sandbox of wonders. The update introduces an array of Gizmos, tools, and gadgets that allow players to go beyond traditional construction.
From switches and buttons to spawners and timers and even full-blown logic gates, Playgrounds puts the tools of the trade directly into the hands of the players. The possibilities are staggering, offering a depth of creativity that goes far beyond the confines of regular Grounded gameplay.
