Elon Musk: Strategy Game App 'Polytopia' Is Better Than Chess

In just nine days, the Full Send podcast featuring Elon Musk has racked up nearly 10 million views. This 3-hour podcast hosted by The Nelk Boys took the Internet by storm because of the Tesla CEO's willingness to share his views on a handful of random things.

In the podcast, billionaire and tech magnate Elon Musk says chess is quite simple as a strategy game. According to a report from Essentially Sports, Musk says that a strategy game found in the app store can be considered the best strategy game.

It is very interesting to know that a man like Elon Musk who was once hailed as the richest man alive and also runs big companies Tesla and SpaceX has still some time left in his schedule to have a hobby. In the podcast, when Elon Musk was asked about his favorite video game, he mentions that he has developed a passion for video games.

Elon Musk rarely grants interviews, to see him participate in a 3-hour podcast is definitely something different. Many would expect that the Nelk Boys took this opportunity to question Musk about his stand on real-world issues and events, they sort of skimmed some important topics but these content creators did something else.

The Full Send podcast hosts went on to ask Musk about the most inconsequential of things like aliens, video games, and hypothetical World Wars, but they actually did great.

First, Musk talked about Starlink satellites which he said will more than double their numbers in the near future. Then he found himself talking about his stand on marijuana and his Apocalypse backup plan.

The next interesting topic that Musk had with the Nelk Boys is about strategy games. When asked by one podcast host to share his view on the OG strategy game chess, here is what the SpaceX owner said: "I was on the school's chess team, but I find chess a simple game. Frankly, in my opinion. There's a strategy game called Polytopia, which you can get on your phone, which I think is probably the best strategy game."

Polytopia or The Battle of Polytopia is a multi-platform strategy game that features unique cube maps to solve. The award-winning game with cute low poly graphics is a turn-based strategy game about building civilizations and then going to battle.

On its official website, it says that in the game, you play as one of many tribes, explore the world, build cities, develop technologies and wage war against other tribes in order to take control over the mythical land of Polytopia.

In a report from Sifted, it was said that since launching in 2016, Polytopia has won various awards and been downloaded 15 million times, and it still has more than 600k monthly active users.

Its newest awards to keep: Elon Musk's favorite game and 'better than chess.'
