'Youtube: Game On' Live Event Brings Together 60 Top Content Creators

YouTube announces live gaming event called YouTube: Game On

Last Aug. 8, online video sharing and social media platform Youtube announced a new gaming event to feature the platform's biggest gaming content creators. This event presented as "YouTube: Game On" is a special two-hour interactive livestream event that is out up to celebrate 'all things gaming.' The event will be premiering on Aug. 27, starting at 1 PM PT.

'YouTube Game On' Features Top Gaming Content Creators

In a report by The Manila Times, YouTube: Game On brings together more than 60 of the industry's best video game content creators, including Markiplier, Ali-A, AyChristene, Bazerk, Caylus, Chica, CouRage, Dream, EddieVR, EyStreem, Kwebbelkop, Neto, GeorgeNotFound, Jake Fellman, Lachlan, LARRAY, LaurenzSide, LDShadowLady, MatPat, Muselk On the platform, they account for more than 400 million subscribers and more than 150 billion lifetime views.

In the video posted on YouTube last Aug. 8, we can see some of our gaming creators playing some of the recent years' most popular video games. According to YouTube, these famous streamers and gamers will be playing some of the hottest video games while their fans watch and comment along the stream.

According to Bleedingcool.com, the games including "Among Us," "Fall Guys," "Fortnite," "Free Fire," "Friday Night Funkin'," "Grand Theft Auto V," "Minecraft," "Mortal Kombat 11," "Poppy Playtime," "Rocket League," "Street Fighter 6," "Trackmania," and others will be played and featured by these YouTube content creators.

Viewers Can Vote on 'Unique Gaming Challenges'

In the upcoming event, YouTube tells fans that they can participate in the various online activities by voting on what 'unique gaming challenges' their favorite content creators should take on as the event progresses. Simply put, votes from fans can dictate what activities and challenges will happen in the event.

YouTube has already confirmed some segments of the upcoming live global gaming event. One of the announced segments includes 'Hot Ones Challenge: Video Gamer Faceoff' hosted by Sean Evans himself. This segment is not your ordinary Hot Ones video with Q and As and commentaries. This one will let players chosen by the public to face each other in a series of Street Fighter 6 matches. Expect losers to munch on the tastiest fried chicken drizzled with the hottest sauce.

Another confirmed segment coming to YouTube: Game On is a segment that is called 'Grandma & GranPoppy Playtime', which will feature elders playing 'Poppy Playtime', which is one of the event's 'analog horror challenges.'

In the past few years, we have witnessed many gaming creators build names for themselves with their very entertaining and interactive content. This new event from YouTube introduces a new way of playing and streaming on YouTube. In this event, fans can have a live experience of interacting with their favorite gaming content creators. Aside from a celebration of 'everything gaming', this new event may be a kick-starter for some new features that YouTube has in store for its millions of users.
