First introduced way back in Patch 2.5, Impulse Grenade is making a comeback to hit video game Fortnite as a newly unvaulted item. On Friday, Aug. 12, Fornite officially unvaulted the grenade and can now be used in Battle Royale matches.
What makes Fortnite really exciting is its way of featuring new surprises every now and then. The game regularly updates its player base with new events, skins, and items. Sometimes, Epic Games decides to return previously removed features of the game. In the latest update, Fortnite re-introduces the Impulse Grenade, a destructive force on the battlefield.

Along with the return of Impulse Grenades, Fortnite has also announced the return of UFOs, another unvaulted item. Fortnite's biggest announcement this week is the revelation of the Dragon Ball event start date.
Where To Find Impulse Grenades
The Impulse Grenade is considered a rare utility item exclusively available for Battle Royale. The said item is made to be thrown by players to launch players and even vehicles away from the point of impact. The bomb does not protect players from fall damage. Impulse Grenades can be obtained in chests, supply drops, supply llamas, and floor loot. They drop in stacks of three with a maximum stack size of nine.
A report from Ginx suggests that it is best to check POIs that are loaded with chests. According to them, locations like The Baily Bugle and the Rave Cave are good places to spot chests containing the said utility item. It is very common to find some scattered on the ground outside The Daily Bugle.
How Impulse Grenades Work
According to Game Rant, players or vehicles can be launched in almost any direction using impulse grenades. Impulse Grenades, like Shockwave Grenades, do not produce real damage, making them more of a tactical accessory than a real weapon. Skilled players can use Impulse Grenades to obtain some extremely devastating knockouts because they explode rapidly after landing.
The Impulse Grenade is best to use against opponents who like hiding behind thick walls. This is also the best counter for enemies who enjoy building structures, as this bomb can instantly decimate any structures in a large radius. The Impulse Grenade and Junk Rift's return results in more dynamic gameplay by enabling players to use takedown strategies outside of direct combat.
The unvaulted Fortnite UFOs will only be available until early next week. Take the chance to head to the battlefield to try out these returning items from the vault. It is unclear if the Impulse Grenade will also be recalled back to the vault next week.
In other news, many players are already excited about the upcoming Fortnite x Dragon Ball collaboration event. In a recent tweet, Fortnite finally announced what seems to be the start date of the Dragon Ball event. Leaks are predicting that this event will come along with the introduction of skins Goku, Vegeta, Bulma, and possibly Beerus. Fortnite may provide additional details about the said event in the coming days.
