Game developer Square Enix announced today that Final Fantasy XIV Online Patch 6.2 'Buried Memory' will be released on August 23. The news was first revealed in the most recent Letter from the Producer LIVE Broadcast.
The Latest Trailer Features 'Island Sanctuary'
In a report from PC Gamer, this new update includes the "Island Sanctuary," a whole new additional feature in the game. 'Island Sanctuary' is the latest type of casual solo content that allows players to build and design their own personal farm situated on a deserted island. In the said island farm, the players can gather resources and materials, build facilities, raise certain creatures, and more. The player can do all these without the trouble of crafting before these activities and gathering experience.

Finally, Square Enix has revealed more details of the 6.2 update. The 'Buried Memory' update surprises fans with new main quests, a new dungeon, and more new features for update 6.25. Aside from the much-awaited "Island Sanctuary," Final Fantasy fans have long been rooting for a new dungeon, in the form of the Fell Court of Troia and also the new eight-player raid to be called Pandæmonium: Abyssos. In the new player raid, players will be transported to the dungeon of Lahabria.

The Gamer tells us that 'Buried Memory will be a new story where the Warrior of Lights will embark on a new quest with dragons. On the official Buried Memory site, the game developers highlight the storyline for the latest update, "Five millennia ago, the great wyrm Azdaja vanished into the void, and for long years Vrtra had despaired of being reunited with his dear sister. With the encouragement of his people, however, he has found the resolve to search for her, and sets forth with the Warrior of Light for a world engulfed in Darkness."
Furthermore, the update also brought us with New Unreal Trial. This one features the Battle against Sephirot in Containment Bay. Also, there have been new PvP updates implemented. With the launch of Patch 6.2, PvP Series 2 and Crystalline Conflict Season 3 will start. With modifications to PvP actions and the Crystalline Conflict ranked matching system, Hidden Gorge will start up again.
There are a lot of new features and changes arriving for 6.2. Check out new additional content that includes updates to adventurer plates and portraits and a glamour dresser capacity extension of 800 slots from 400.
More Features Are Coming With Patch 6.25 Says, Square Enix
With the announcement of Patch 6.2, Square Enix also assured that additional details would be released for Patch 6.25, which will be revealed at a later date.
GodisaGeek.com tells us that there will be new side story quests for the said patch and new weapon enhancement quests in which players can obtain and enhance Manderville Weapons. Additionally, there will also be new daily quests for Disciples of the Land. Players should also watch out for new 'Variant Dungeons' Battle Content and 'Another Path: Criterion Dungeons.'
