In a report by Kotaku, an AOT fan has been in the works on developing the most realistic Attack On Titan fan-made game ever. This indie developer who goes by the name Swammy recently released his version of the anime-based game; wait for it, he is releasing it for free.
This AOT Fan-Made Game Is Available For Free
This developer was really not expecting much online traction when he first posted a brief gameplay video. Sammy and his girlfriend could not believe how that short video became viral in 2021. With these surprising results, Sammy decided to go on and make demos for the game, which turned into more developed versions of the game. According to the indie game developer, he started by just adding more and more details of a city and then a few Titans to start. And just one day, he found his game to be all set for a multiplayer mode.
According to a report from GamingBible, thousands of people have already downloaded the project. Still, it has now been revealed that it will be converted to Unreal Engine 5, which is quite exciting. Fans will be in for a big treat because, as demonstrated in a brief demo video, it will seem shinier when it is ported over and paired with the gameplay, which is currently slick.
Personally, a glimpse of the gameplay trailer excited me as there is so much more attention given to making cable-throwing more realistic. Not only that, the game really looks a whole lot similar to the anime series: you can cable faster, it looks like you have more control, and ultimately, the enemies and the background look more gnarly.
This is not a hard take. Sammy's game has cooler ODM gear swing mechanics than the official releases. In the fan-made game, even a beginner can say that moving around is faster and definitely a lot easier.
As many early reviews say, Sammy's take on an Attack On Titan game is reminiscent of Spider-Man games' gameplay and controls, which is not bad after all. Another incredible thing about this game is that it is playable from either first or third-person perspectives.
