A report from ThirstyForNews shares that Cena had already hinted at joining Fortnite last year. With some Attitude Adjustments, this announcement eventually came into fruition as John Cena slammed into the popular team-based shooting game as a downloadable skin. To the WWE Legend's surprise, the skin quickly rose to popularity among the gaming community and converted to a lot of sales.
When a WWE surprise hits, it hits big-time. John Cena will not only be available as a skin in Fortnite, but the Epic SummerSlam event also brings The Doctor of Thuganomics to Rocket League as inspiration for two new upcoming decals. Another WWE champ will join Cena, Roman Reigns, for this special Rocket League event.
Rocket League, Fall Guys Also Feature WWE Stars
Gaming news platform, Polygon adds that Rocket League is introducing John Cena and Roman Reigns-inspired Octane decals for the said event. The John Cena one is bright green, with that U Can't C Me logo on the hood. The WWE bundle for Rocket League was released last July 28.
Aside from The Champ, more WWE wrestlers slam into partnerships with games such as Asuka, Xavier Woods, and The Undertaker, who will be having their Fall Guys debut as new beans that are purchasable as new skins in the game.
Kotaku, on the other hand, reports an interesting take on these WWE-video games' fun. WWE fans could be intrigued by this wave of collaborations as just last week, WWE's CEO and founder Vince McMahon stepped down as rumors about an affair, and a 3-million-dollar bribe continues to make rounds on the Internet.
Kotaku also reports that a subsequent investigation by the WWE uncovered similar NDAs issued to women who accused McMahon and the head of talent relations, John Laurinaitis, of misconduct.
Going back to the Chain Gang Soldier, Cena mentioned in his last tweet that he is finding more ways to get involved with gaming after the Fortnite skin boom. Could fans witness a reboot of the Cena skin series, a new partnership, or some nice Fortnite live streams with the Peacemaker soon?
