When Disney Infinity came out last year, one of the first thoughts on everyone's collective mind was, "When will we get to play as Marvel and Star Wars characters?"
Well, the good folks over at Marvel have at least shed a little light on half of that equation today, showing a teaser that confirms that the Avengers will be making an appearance in Disney Infinity 2.0 Edition. Featuring a cameo from Captain America's shield (but not cap himself), the trailer follows the vibranium disc around like a frisbee as it bounces around the existing characters of the game.
The trailer simply ends with the tagline "Bring on the super heroes."
Now one just has to wonder if the Infinity figures will be allowed to include X-Men, Spider-Man and The Fantastic Four, which are all owned by Fox and Sony for film rights. All of those characters were allowed to appear in LEGO Marvel Superheroes, however, so you'd figure that they'll be fair game for Infinity 2.0 as well. Movie versions of the characters will probably be all that's off limits (no Hugh Jackman Wolverine figures, unfortunately).
Which Marvel heroes are you most excited to suit up as in Infinity? Check out the little teaser trailer and let us know in the comments.
