Have no plans of falling asleep tonight? Well, this video game we are about to share can help you with that.
Today's #SteamSpotlight feature is one of the many survival horror games that you can find on the platform. However, instead of killing countless zombies or hiding from scary entities, what your goal in this game is to actually pacify the monsters you will encounter so that you can make your escape.
Sounds intriguing? Let us tell you more about it!
#SteamSpotlight Feature: Pacify
Developed by Shawn Hitchcock and published by Hitchcock Games, Pacify was released on February 23, 2019. You, as the player, will find yourself in a dark, old, scary house that you will have to escape from. That, of course, is easier said than done.
According to the game's Steam page, the original story of the game involves you being part of Paranormal Activity Helpers Incorporated, otherwise known as PAH Inc. You are tasked to check out the old, scary house as a broker wants to put it up for sale. However, rumors are swirling that there is evil within the house. Your task is to verify those claims and bring back evidence to PAH inc. if there really is anything scary going on in that house.
It should be noted that Pacify now has three missions. Before we get to that, however, let us talk about the game modes.
There are three game modes available in Pacify, which are as follows:
- Single Player Mode - What this basically means is that you will be in that old, scary house all by yourself. You will have to accomplish all the tasks on your own too.
- Co-Op Mode - Unwilling to face the horrors of the house all by yourself? You can play with your friends so that you can work together to escape the house and the evils that lurk within.
- PvP Mode - This game mode differs in a sense that here, all the players are interns vying for a full time position at PAH Inc. The player who does the best job given the task at hand will be the one to get hired. Long story short, you have to be better than the rest of the players.

The Three Separate Missions
Pacify now has three separate missions that players can try out when they play. According to an article by Softonic, what is common about these missions is that is the goal, which is to "pacify the monsters with various items.
The original mission of the game involves a possessed girl named Emilia. To pacify her, you need to have dolls in your inventory. However, you can only keep one doll, marked or unmarked, in your inventory at a time. You also only have under five minutes to succeed against Emilia.
The two other missions that were eventually released for the game are set elsewhere. According to Softonic, the second mission is set in chicken farm where you will have to pacify a monster named Karen. You can watch the tailer for this mission below:
The third mission, on the other hand, is set in the woods and the monster, Agnes Rose, can be pacified by roses. Here is the trailer for the third mission:
