HBO's hit medieval fantasy series Game of Thrones is finally returning with season four on Sunday after what feels like an eternity since season three's bloody conclusion. The events at the end of last season will send shockwaves throughout the show's universe that everyone who hasn't read the A Song of Ice and Fire book series is eager to see.
To celebrate the series' return, the internet has been gifted with a video of every death in the show so far. It contains a helpful kill counter (with a modest estimation during a certain large-scale battle), and is accompanied by a stellar song choice. I won't ruin the music selection for you, because it definitely makes the video more enjoyable when you first hear it.
There are, obviously, spoilers ahead in the video below, but I imagine if you're eagerly awaiting season four you've most likely watched the past three seasons. I'm obligated to point them out, though, lest a wave of internet wrath wash over me like wildfire on Blackwater Bay.
Enjoy the video, its music and the many, many deaths you will witness. Some are more bloody and violent than others, and some will probably make you really sad as you recall them. The death counter reaches into the thousands by the end, mostly because of the aforementioned battle sequence.
But don't worry--there are plenty of up close and personal, hand-to-hand killings as well...as if you ever doubted that would be the case. Thanks to Digg for the video!
