Halo Infinite may finally be getting a campaign co-op mode this August if things go as planned for 343 Industries.
Updates have also been provided for the Forge mode. An open beta for this mode is scheduled for September.
Halo Infinite's Campaign Co-Op
Halo Infinite players have something to look forward to as it has been announced that it's much awaited campaign co-op mode is slated for August of this year.
While a specific date has not been provided, a report by The Verge notes that 343 Industries mentioned in its latest Halo Waypoint post that the launch is targeted for last August.
The launch of this particular game mode has already experienced some delay as it is. 343 Industries announced prior to the release of Halo Infinite that the co-op mode would not be available at launch. According to The Verge, it was then said that it would be launched with Season 2, which is scheduled for May 2, but that changed as well.
However, it should be noted that a split screen campaign co-op will not happen anytime soon. The Verge's report says that the launch of the said feature is not expected until the third multiplayer season. The third multiplayer season is scheduled to begin on Nov. 8.
This could still change as the Halo Infinite roadmap says that its launch date is "TBD."
Forge Mode
343 Industries also discussed the game's Forge mode in its Halo Waypoint post and revealed that it is hoping to have an open beta for it this September.
Similar to the campaign co-op, it was also announced that the Forge mode would not be available at launch.
"We've successfully had Forge in private flighting with a limited audience for some time, so we've decided to forgo a large-scale formal flighting program and go right to open beta," reveals Halo Infinite's Head of Creative, Jason Staten.
"With this approach, we can get the core Forge tools out to everyone quicker while also remaining focused on our core priority of continuing to improve foundational aspects of Halo Infinite," he adds.

Halo Infinite Season 2
As previously mentioned, Halo Infinite fans can look forward to the game's Season 2 very soon as it is set to begin on May 2. The season is named Lone Wolves.
Included in Season 2 are two new maps, which are Catalyst (Arena) and Breaker (BTB). According to a report by Polygon, Catalyst is "a Forerunner structure with faded silver everywhere, various ramps leading to different heights, hardlight bridges, and plenty of hallways to meet and fight your opponents."
There will also be three new game modes that will come with the season: Land Grab, Land Spartan Standing, and King of the Hill.
