Aurelion Sol is one of the most overrated heroes in the Summoner's Rift. When Riot Games revealed the Star Dragon in the League, he didn't offer the gameplay that fans were expecting from him.
Before the title creator of "League of Legends" released ASol, the dev team first revealed the character's story. Based on his lore, Aurelion Sol is one of the oldest celestial beings in the universe.
Because of this, many fans expected a lot from the hero back in 2016. However, after several months of playing, the pick and purchase rates of the champion depleted slowly.
Now, Riot Games plan to change this scenario by changing the hero while retaining his Star Dragon storyline.
Redesigned Aurelion Sol To Arrive!
According to Dot Esports' latest report, Riot Games admitted that they didn't bring justice to the lore of Aurelion Sole, saying that the gameplay of the character doesn't match his story as a gigantic, arrogant star dragon.

"Unfortunately, we didn't really deliver on a gameplay kit that matched that excitement, as most of you dropped him after just a few games," said the title publisher via its official blog post.
Riot Games added that they plan to provide Aurelion Sol with his CGU (Comprehensive Gameplay Update), making him the first hero to have a complete gameplay kit makeover.
The company's dev team further explained that the change that Aurelion Sol will have is similar to the adjustments made for Urgot and Sion. Since it will be a complete makeover, expect Aurelion Sol's skills and visual effects has changed as well.
A New Champion and Other Enhancements
Aside from the complete rework of Aurelion Sol, Riot Games also hinted that there would be a new jungler hero. This new character is called the Empress.
The game developer stated that she would be a Void champion. However, she will not have the visual effects that Reksai, Skarner, and other Void heroes offer.
Instead, she will bear a "beauty" that can make her enemies submit to her. Based on these details, she is a kinda manipulator champion, just like Renata Glasc.
Aside from the so-called Empress, Skarner and Udyr will also have their own enhancements. These are just some of the upgrades that Riot Games will soon be releasing in the Summoner's Rift.
