In Icarus, players need to gather resources, craft items, tools, materials and equipment, build shelters, and hunt for food in order for them to survive in the online survival game.
Aside from that, they need to clear Prospect Missions in order to progress in the game, as well as to earn in-game money.
One of which is the "Fire Walk: Delivery" Prospect Mission, where they need to travel towards the Riverlands biome in order to retrieve the Terraforming Flechette, a temperature-sensitive bio-weapon, and deliver it to the dropship.
Clearing the Prospect Mission
Much like other Prospect Missions in Icarus, players need to prepare the tools and items that they need before taking on the "Fire Walk: Delivery" mission.
They must need to prepare the usual equipment that they will use to hunt for food, and to defend themselves in the Riverlands biome, such as the bow with its arrows and a knife, as well as a pickaxe and an axe.
If they unlocked the higher tiers in the game's tech tree, they can craft these tools with better materials, such as metals like steel.
They will also need to craft parts of their temporary shelter, as well as a bedroll that will act as the spawn point, a set of cloth armor for additional defense, and waterskins to store their water.
Once they have prepared everything, they will ride in the dropship and accept the Prospect Mission. Afterwards, according to Gaming Tornedo's YouTube video, they will be dropped in the area within the point D7.
From there, they can gather resources such as Wood from the trees that are scattered in the area, Stones from the rock slabs, and Fiber from ferns. They can also mine for Oxites that are also in the biome in order to have a quick recharge of their Envirosuit's oxygen supply.
They will also need to hunt for wild animals such as wild boars in order to get their Meat to be cooked in the campfire for Food. They will also need to kill the wild wolves that are attacking them using their bow and arrow.
They must continue to do this while traversing towards the area where the mission item is located. As they journey on, they will stumble a transition point from the Forest biome to the Arctic biome. From there, they will need to build their first temporary shelter that will also serve as their first spawning point.
After building the said shelter, they will set up a campfire where they will cook their gathered Meat from killing wild animals in order to have their supply of Food while they are resting in order to replenish their stamina.
Once they are rested enough, they will continue travelling within the Arctic biome, where they will encounter even more threats such as polar bears and wolves, as well as the cold weather, which it could affect their Health, in order to reach the area within the point G10.
Upon reach the said area, they will go to their left until they will stumble upon a mountain wall that has an iron ore. Using a pickaxe, they will mine the said mountain wall until they made a hole that will act as their entrance way.
The cave that they have made will be their second shelter, as well as their second spawn point, where they need to stay there in order to keep themselves warm. If they have the blueprint for the Crafting Table ready, they can setup the equipment there, where they can craft more tools such as additional arrows.
Also in the Crafting Table, they will also need to craft a wood rag torch in order to give them light while staying in the cave.
Once they have rested enough, they will continue running towards the area within G11. They will investigate the area, until they will saw a Supply Pod that is beside a cliff.
From there, they will interact it in order to get its contents, which includes 100 pieces of the Flechette. Each of them will degrade, or drop its temperature, for 15 seconds.
Once they got the mission item, they will run as fast as they can back towards the drop point while evading the wild animals that are attacking them and maintaining its temperature in order not to make it drop to zero.
Then, they will approach the dropship, and transfer the Flechette in order to clear the Prospect Mission. If the said item was degraded completely, they will run back towards the Supply Pod again to retrieve another Flechette.
Once the item is not degraded upon giving it to the drop ship, that means that they have done the mission.
