Epic Games Store will give away another set of games for free for this week and the next. For this week, players will get a free copy of the turn-based strategy game, Galactic Civilizations III, from the online digital video game store.
Next week, Epic Games Store will replace Galactic Civilizations III with a free copy of the first-person physics-based puzzle game, Relicta.
Establish an Empire with Galactic Civilizations III
Released in 2015 by Stardock for Windows PCs, Galactic Civilizations III is the third installment of the "Galactic Civilizations" series of 4X turn-based strategy video games, as well as a sequel to Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords, which was released in 2006.
In the game, according to The Nerd Stash, players will control one of its many races, including Humans, Drengins, and Altarians, and lead their civilization into the golden age by building an empire of their own. Each of the said races has its own history, technology tree, ship components, and more.

In order to do so, according to Neowin, they need to research new technologies in the said tech trees, design starships using the said components, and colonize new worlds, while facing potential threats through wars, and conquer challenges from new and mysterious sources.
They can also expand their empire by negotiating trades and treaties, as well as dealing alien politics in order to gain allies that will might help them along the way.
Solve Mysteries of the Moon with Relicta
Released in 2020 by its developers, Mighty Polygon, and its publishers, Ravenscourt and Koch Media, Relicta, according to NME, is a first-person physics-based puzzle game where players can combine magnetism and gravity in order to unravel the secrets of the Chandra Base, which is stationed at the Moon.
In the game, they will play as a physicist who is stranded on the said lunar base, and they need to find a way around its terraformed craters by bending the aforementioned elements, in order to solve physical puzzles, escape the base safely, and keep the physicist's daughter alive.
However, as the game progresses, and its puzzles go harder, they will decide if they either rush straight ahead in order to reach safety or take their time to gather more clues in order to reveal the intrigues of the orbital politics that is surrounding its storyline, as well as a secret that lies within the moon's eternal darkness that could change the fate of humanity.
How to Get Them for Free
Much like their previous giveaways, in order for players to get their free copies of Galactic Civilizations III and Relicta in the Epic Games Store, they need to go to the digital online video game store's website and look for the "Free Games" tab.
Then, click the "Free Now" button below it. Once you are in dedicated pages of either of the games, click the "Get" button. You must be logged in before you grab these free games.
According to FTW, Galactica Civilizations III, along with its Crusade and Retribution Expansion packs, will be available on the online digital store for free until January 20th at 8:00 AM PT, while the free copy of Relicta will up for grabs from January 20th to January 27th at 8:00 AM PT.
