Walking Dead Season Finale Have You Craving Brains? This Ain't No Simulator - 'Walker' Beer Features Actual Goat Brains

Want an Interesting Walking Dead-Themed Beer? How About One With Some Real Brains?

So, you just watched the Walking Dead season finale, and now you need a beer to take the edge off.

What better way to celebrate than with some actual brains in your beer?

No, I'm not kidding. There's an actual beer, made by Dock Street Brewing Company in Philadelphia, called "Walker." And it features real goat brains in the brew.

"Dock Street Brewing Company's head brewer Justin Low is a big fan of the hit TV show, which is set in a post-apocalyptic world where zombies reside and regularly eat humans," ABC News reports. "Low told ABC News he came up with the American Pale Stout along with brewery representative Sacha Certo-Ware, who suggested ingredients such as cranberries to give it its 'bloody red hue' and wood-wire roasted goat brains (not human) which give it a certain 'smokiness.'"

If your gross quota wasn't met for the day, well, there you go. Although I must say, I'm intrigued and would like to try it. Let's be honest, it shouldn't be too much worse than Rogue's Voodoo Donut collection, which includes Peanut Butter and Banana Ale, Bacon Maple Ale and Pretzel, Raspberry and Chocolate Ale. At least the "Walker" brew has some cranberry notes in it, which is actually a pretty good combo with beer.

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any way to get the bloody brew shipped to you, but it began its run on Dock Street's taps yesterday in celebration of the Season 4 finale, meaning if you're in the Philly area you can get a taste for yourself soon.
