"Outlast 2" developers have already revealed the minimum and recommended system requirements of the survival horror game which has recently been launched on Steam. It should be noted that the game will only be running on 64-bit OS. The game is aiming for 720p at 30fps but can run as much as 1080p at 60fps.
Required PC Rigs For Tomorrow's Launch Revealed
The sequel to the acclaimed survival horror game from Red Barrels launched April 25. "Outlast 2" would be launching for console players on PS4 and Xbox One as well as for PC players. Contrary to game titles of today, the first-person game does not ask for much, WCCF Tech reported.
All you need to enjoy "Outlast 2" is a modest graphics card. Red Barrels recommends PC gamers to use either a Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or an AMD Radeon HD 4870 GPU with at least 1GB video memory. PCs need to be running on an Intel Core i3-530 clocked at 2.9GHz or an AMD Phenom II X3 715 at 2.8GHz with at least 4GB of RAM.
"Outlast 2" requires only 30GB of available HDD to play. Hardcore gamers who opt to play the game run at 1080p at 60 frames per second may need an AMD FX-8100 at 2.8GHz or an Intel Core i5-7620 at 2.8GHz with at least 8GB system memory. As for the graphics card, an AMD Radeon HD 7850 or a Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 with at least 1.5GB GPU RAM would be enough.
New Story, New Bundle Revealed
In other news, Red Barrels also launched the latest trailer of the upcoming "Outlast 2" on PS4. The game is set to follow the story of the journalist Blake Langermann with his wife. Langermann is set to investigate the murder of a pregnant woman, PSU reported.
The "Outlast 2" main protagonist would only be able to fight off his attackers during the scripted scenes. The journalist would have to use his wits and his legs for that matter to run, climb and hide from the spooky horrors that await. In addition, the "Outlast Trinity Bundle" with the original game, "Outlast Whistleblower" expansion and the sequel have also been announced.
