‘Star Wars Battlefront 2’ News: PC Update Loads Hacks & Cheats, Drops Banhammer

"Star Wars Battlefront 2" developers are expected to establish a strong anti-cheat system for the sequel to be a huge success. The upcoming first and third-person shooter from Pandemic Studios and Savage Entertainment was recently announced during the Star Wars Celebration and fans on social media noted that a robust anti-cheat system may be the only way to make an impact with players, in particular, PC gamers. In the meantime, it has been revealed that the upcoming sequel will include a single-player story campaign.

Anti-Cheats To Be Deployed For Upcoming Game

It is expected that the "Star Wars Battlefront 2" launch will be plagued with hacks and cheats especially on PC, Gamerant reported. It is expected that the "Star Wars Battlefront 2" developers will take the necessary steps to counter some of these as it may ruin the gameplay for many. The developers may opt to use it for anti-cheat systems like BattleEye, improve the FairFight or use the anti-cheat system from the original game.

"Star Wars Battlefront 2" fans also encourage the developers to drop the banhammer when cheats have been found. It should be noted that Blizzard is known to shame "Overwatch" cheaters even suing the companies making the cheats. The cheat system may punish and deter players from cheating to ward off any future hackers. Apparently, the cheating problem with the first "Battlefront" game was so severe that some players were unable to find game lobbies sans cheaters.

EA Access Subscribers Get To Play Sequel A Week Early
