‘Splatoon 2’ Amiibo Coming With Cloud, Bayonetta; 6 Amiibo To Launch On July 21

"Splatoon 2" amiibo has just been announced along with Cloud and Bayonetta. This is expected to be the last wave of amiibo to fill the roster of the "Super Smash Bros." amiibo. Nintendo is already set to launch all six of them on July 21. In the meantime, the "Splatoon 2" launch date has been revealed along with a new mode.

More Of Link In Upcoming Amiibo

The latest wave of Nintendo amiibo figures may just be a tad more special as it is set to include the last six "Super Smash Bros." amiibo. Fans who have been opting to collect all of the "Super Smash Bros." amiibos are expected to complete their collection with the latest additions. There are a few more amiibos of Link and several figures for the forthcoming "Splatoon 2."

Nintendo showcased the new amiibo during its special direct event last week. There will be two alternate figures including the male and female version of Korin and "Bayonetta 1" and "Bayonetta 2" style for Bayonetta. It is expected that there will also be two versions of Cloud. "Splatoon 2" amiibo include a new color of Inkling Boy, Inkling Girl and a Squid. Note that some of the amiibo are set to be released as exclusives to certain retailers, Escapist Magazine reported.

New Horde Mode Announced

In other news, "Splatoon 2" is expected to arrive on the one-month old hybrid Nintendo Switch on July 21. The revelation came during the company's recent Direct presentation. In addition, Nintendo also unveiled some of the new gameplay in "Splatoon 2," Polygon reported.

The "Splatoon 2" will be featuring a new mode called the Salmon Run which is basically the sequel's version of a horde mode. Moreover, the PvE mode will put together a team of Inklings vs salmon monsters while they try to collect new items called the Power Eggs. New weapons are also set to come into the game.
