Fans of Bungie's space-based FPS have reportedly acknowledged that the developer has certainly driven up the hype for "Destiny 2". It is somewhat surprising that they were able to get players excited for the sequel without substantial leaks and have kept most of the game's mechanics under wraps. Meanwhile, players have noted that the follow-up title has hinted that it will reportedly feature new combat abilities.
Veteran players who have gotten used to the gameplay and combat details of the original game are apparently glad that the game will still feature Titans, Hunters and Warlocks, according to Game Rant. However, Bungie has not detailed its plans for the abilities and classes and how they will reflect in "Destiny 2". While some players might welcome the familiarity of the same abilities, there are some gamers who want to experience something new when the sequel comes out this year.
Reports also confirm that Bungie has posted a message on Twitter, which teases new combat abilities planned for "Destiny 2". The recent promotional tweet asks players to "venture to mysterious, and unexplored worlds in our solar system." It was also teased that players can "earn an arsenal of weapons and new combat abilities." Some players speculate that the developer might refresh the entire subclass and its unlockable skills. Players have to wait until May 18, 2017, in order to check out the official gameplay reveal.
Another popular speculation claims that Bungie might preserve the existing subclasses from the original game. The developer could change the combat abilities for each of the elemental classes, thereby preserving the familiar mechanics of the original. "Destiny 2" is also rumored to feature a new element called Decay.
Bungie has already confirmed that nothing but the character models will be ported over to "Destiny 2", reports Gamenguide. One of the story details hinted that the sequel might feature something new that is not element-based. Fans also want the sequel to have a freeform RPG feel that has a single skill tree. The sequel is expected to become available on Sept. 8, 2017, for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
