For the past couple of years, gaming fans have stopped becoming excited for Nintendo every time the annual E3 event comes around. It seems that in the last few years the gaming company has avoided the limelight during the gaming event and opted to make announcements through live streams. It appears that most of its fans just relied on streams from Nintendo Treehouse and Nintendo Direct to grab some information about anything Nintendo. However, reports have hinted that the company is prepared to make it big this E3 2017.
Nintendo of America executive Reggie Fils-Aime has recently revealed some of Nintendo's plans for this year's E3 event, according to an interview with Fox News. Gamers might have assumed that the game company has already showcased all its big name titles that are scheduled to release within the year, but others still speculate that they have some games that might be revealed during the gaming event.
Based on Reggie's statement, Nintendo apparently sees E3 as a "unique opportunity" for the company to express their ideas. The executive also added, "we're gonna have a big E3 this year." It was also confirmed that the company will "be showcasing a variety of games." Despite the gaming community's focus on the Nintendo Switch, the Nintendo of America president reportedly assured Nintendo 3DS gamers that they will have something for them as well during the game show.
He teased fans that he has no plans reveal "all of our little secrets for E3." Instead, he notes that the game show will be a chance for Nintendo to "showcase not only Nintendo Switch but also content coming to Nintendo 3DS," reports Game Rant.
The E3 event this June seems like an exciting time for Nintendo fans as "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" and "Splatoon 2" are also scheduled to official hit retailers. Gamers continue to hope that the Nintendo Switch will have a bigger games library compared to its predecessor, the Nintendo Wii U. It also appears that the company has not forgotten their Nintendo 3DS fans.
