Tekken 8 has released a teaser that showcases the game's second DLC character, Lidia Sobieska, who was the final addition to the roster in Tekken 7.
Bandai Namco announced that Lidia Sobieska will be Tekken 8's next post-launch fighter who will be joining the game at Evo Japan 2024. The video teaser for the character does not give fans of the franchise into anything new that could be coming with her comeback.

Additionally, the Season 1 trailer also confirmed that players will be getting free content updates throughout the year. These include a balance update that will be coming soon as well as a new stage known as Seaside Resort that will be released in the summer.
The game will also have a new Photo Mode that gives players the ability to create their own dynamic Tekken scenarios for picture-taking. In the fall, there will be a story mode expansion that seems to suggest what the Season Pass 1 characters were up to during all of the events of the game's cinematic story mode, according to Eventhubs.
Lidia Sobieska's release will have her join Eddy Gordo, who was released at the start of the month as the first DLC character, and two other unannounced fighters in the Year 1 Pass. They are planned to join the roster of playable characters this fall and winter.

In the world set in the game, Lidia Sobieska is the Prime Minister of Poland who made her first appearance in the franchise in Tekken 7 as DLC in the Season 4 Pass. There are also new modes coming such as Ghost vs. Ghost or Online Practice that will be added at a later date.
The new teaser and trailer comes as Tekken 8 released in January on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S to critical acclaim. The fighting game title sold more than 2 million copies in the first month of its release.
Issue With Monetization
Unfortunately, sentiment over the game later soured and became somewhat aggressive over post-launch monetization, which is something players usually see in a free-to-play game and not one that costs $70 outright. This has caused Tekken 8's Steam rating to plummet to "mostly negative," said IGN.
It didn't help the situation when Bandai Namco, around the time of the monetization controversy, started to take down modding videos for character outfits. What made things worse was when the video game developer announced the new Battle Pass system.
One of the things that people have criticized is the quality of the rewards that they get for buying the Battle Pass in Tekken 8. Some have complained that the quality of some of the cosmetic outfits was not worth the premium requirement.
Furthermore, the company doesn't let you outright but skins for how much they're worth as you need to buy Tekken Coin Bundles worth either $5 or $10. This means that you will have some left over, which tempts you to further buy more bundles so you can purchase other stuff in the game , according to GamingBolt.
