One of the latest iterations to be arming the display is Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017).
CNET has revealed that Samsung Electronics may be giving Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) a curved display. It will be the firm's first to introduce the feature to an otherwise lower-cost variant in its roster. It will also serve as the first smartphone among its competition to be equipped with a display that can only be seen among the high-end entries at the moment. This development has been corroborated by the recent leaks and renders that are associated with the forthcoming smartphone.
Suppose that Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) will very well be coming with a curved display, it would also be safe to assume that most upcoming entries from the company may sport such feature. It should be noted that only Samsung is being called out to be the genuine promoter of this display as its frequent rival LG has recently stopped developing one. Moreover, it's the only company at the moment that touts curved displays as an advantageous selling point.
Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) has also been speculated to come with mid-ranged specifications. These include a 5.2-inch 1080p screen which will be equipped with Gorilla Glass 4. Further, the upcoming unit is expected to be powered by the firm's proprietary Exynos 7870 or Exynos 7880 and will be supported by a 3GB RAM and 32GB of native storage.
Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) is likewise to come with 16-megapixel front and rear camera with f/1.9 aperture. Also, the smartphone may get equipped with a fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C connector, dual-SIM support and a water-resistant functionality. It is slated to get released in January 2017.
