Millions of games around the world are now excited for the upcoming release of the AMD Ryzen. Now, new reports are claiming that the upcoming chip is going to arrive in January 2017 to compete with Intel i7-6900K.
Rumors are rife that AMD Ryzen will surely be a huge hit to gamers as this new chip has a lot to offer. Sources have claimed that the upcoming chip is going to be a huge threat to Intel, which is said to be offering something with lesser capabilities.
According to reports, AMD Ryzen has a 3.4GHz minimum frequency and is ten times faster than Intel i7-6900K in terms of transcoding. Aside from that, the new chip will also be having a more exquisite design and a SenseMI technology, which allows the chip to become accustomed of its environment.
Other features of the 8-core AMD Ryzen, as per PC World, include a 95W TDP, 20 MB cache, 16 threads, 2 memory channels and a DDR4 memory type. As for its price, no clear details have been released yet but the chip is expected to be cheaper than Intel i7-6900K, which is currently available at $1,100.
Meanwhile, KIT GURU has reported that AMD Ryzen is no ordinary chip as it is has a Neutral Net Prediction and Smart Prefetch technologies. "This new system is baked into the architecture and uses Smart Prefetch and Neural Net Prediction to predict which instructions an application is going to need next so it can be prepared ahead of time. This method allows the CPU to optimise performance on the fly based on an applications needs," the news outlet reported.
There were claims that AMD Ryzen could be a big threat to Intel i7-6900K, which is far less advanced than the former. The said chip, which is also known as the Intel Kaby Lake 7th Gen, is quad-core with a total of 8 threads and runs at 4.2GHz base frequency.
