One more day to go, and the PlayStation 4 will be here. With all the infomration that's been flying around about the next-gen console, there's been a lot of talk about sharing gameplay, livestreaming ,etc. No doubt there's a lot of you out there who think this sounds like a great idea. Hell, maybe you even have aspirations of taking the new media by storm with your own unique gameplay videos. Out of all the millions of others who plan on and have pre-orderd the system.
But for some, maybe you'd rather just capture the footage directly, and use it for your own nefarious purpouses. But do you have the technical know how? Well, others with a bit more know knowledge on the subject are sharing what they know on the subject. Since no one reads anymore, here's a handy how-to video on the subject, showing you what you'll need, and how to do it.
There's a bit of tech-talk on passing around HDCP with the proper cable and splitters, but it doesn't sound too complicated for amateurs. Thankfully, some specific equipment is reccomended, and pros and cons given. Still, it's probably better left to videophiles and camera savants. Check it out below.
Under the hood, the PS4 boasts Supercharged PC architecture, X86 CPU, Enhanced PC GPU, and 8GB Unified Memory. It will support the same PlayStation Plus service as the Vita and PlayStation 3. However, a Plus subscription will be required for online multiplayer games, but not for additional media services like Netflix. Sony has also updated the Dual Shock controllers with improved shoulder triggers, and bundles the console with a headset.
The PlayStation 4 is set in North America tomorrow, November 15, and on November 29 in Europe. Day one games available for the system include Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Madden NFL 25, NBA 2K14, Need for Speed: Rivals, and more. It will retail for $399.
