The Phoenix Suns have two-star guards at the moment and the consensus is that either Brandon Knight or Eric Bledsoe will be dealt soon. Based on the value of each, the one likely to be dealt is Knight.
Assuming that this is true, it may not happen until the regular NBA season gets underway, ESPN reported. This should be good on the part of Knight considering he can show other teams he can be a big asset. Once he does, the next question is which team would take the bait?
Nerlens Noel or Jahlil Okafor for Brandon Knight?
One team in dire need of a point guard is Philadelphia. And the obvious deal may materialize and one of the young forwards will be offered in exchange. Despite the fact that Ben Simmons is out on injury, the Sixers find themselves overcrowded up front with the return of Joel Embiid.
For those following the NBA trade rumor mill, Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor have long been said to be on the way out. Phoenix could use a young big man in their fold and a straight up trade sounds pretty sensible.
Noel or Okafor could benefit the charges of head coach Earl Watson who could treat it as an investment for the future. Both players are still young but hold much promise in the NBA, assuming they find the right club to join.
Getting the Noel or Okafor for Knight deal done will, however, need to gain ground if both clubs are serious about swapping players. Noel and Okafor are eyed by several other teams so it would all depend on who comes up with the best deal on the table.
Knight has been demoted to the bench and that alone sparks a potential NBA trade over the horizon, CBS Sports reported. Then again, the move could be for the greater good though it seems hard to figure how a promising 24-year-old guard would not want to get the chance to start for another ballclub.
